As far as I know you can't play music directly from Qobuz app or Tidal app.

To stream Qobuz music you have to use the Volumio app to select a Qobuz track. First fill out your Qobuz login in Volumio.

Alternatively you can use an upnp app like Bubbleupnp or mConnect on Android. Also with these apps fill out you Qobuz login in the app.

I use mconnect for my mobile headphone amp chord mojo poly.
Tried it and works too.

Let me play a few days with all the options there are.

I can't even get past the volume calibration on the mini shd studio. I've tried 3 different windows laptops with Dirac 2 software and Dirac 1. I get constant issues with Dirac 2 software losing connection with mini shd studio even though they're on the same network as the laptop running the software. Has anyone else had this issue ? I'm returning the hardware as there's obviously a fault with it.

I think the relevant connection is via USB not LAN. How long is the cable you are using?

Note that a new version of the SHD plugin has just been released, which may help if you are an Apple user?

Edit: don't start trying to return hardware yet. If I an other forum members can't help then contact miniDSP support. I think there's a high chance your unit isn't actually faulty.

I'm using the usb cable that came with the unit. So it's just a few feet long. I've even tried Dirac v1 but still it doesn't work. I work in I.T so it's not that I'm doing something stupid with the software. I seriously don't know how Windows users are managing to use this software. It constantly crashes .Dirac live 2 is totally unstable on even a fresh install of Windows 10. I've wasted like 10 hrs trying to get the software to work on different machines. I even tried a Windows virtual machine but it just drops connection all the time. Really fed up with this. Maybe most people are using the Mac version and that's stable.

I use Windows 10 without problems and there actually tend to be more issues reported here from Mac users.

Maybe try a different USB lead in case that is faulty?

What !!! You use Windows version and u managed to get by volume calibration using Dirac 2 software. I'm just fed up of this rubbish after wasting 1k pounds in hardware that can't even maintain a connection . I'm even using an HP commercial switch to connect the laptop and shd studio. At this point I'm just really fed up of this unit and the very poor software. Wish I never wasted my money or time on it. I'll never recommend this to anyone else, ever. All in all, very poor stuff. I even offered to fix these bugs in Thier software for free as I'm a developer. I'm that frustrated with this stuff. It's going back and good riddance to it. Never again.

I even got new cat 8 cable thinking maybe the WiFi connection from laptop could be an issue but I have 3 access points all with a strong signal but even then I put cable to link laptop and shd studio to same switch. The software is so poor. It doesn't even give you diagnostic information like is the usb connection has been made, is the IP connection ok, etc. Nothing there's no diagnostic facilitiy on the shd studio unit itself ,etc. Proper rubbish from a 1k box

Yes. As do most people obviously or this forum would be full of people complaining. I have an SHD rather than an SHD Studio but I can't imagine this makes any difference.

That to be fair does sound rather insulting and it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't met with a positive response. Was this in direct communication with Support or via a forum post?

I emailed support 3 times. All I got back from them was " read the manual." An there is no way to run diagnostic checks on the hardware, a user can never know if it's functioning correctly. Have a look at the RME adi2dac. It comes with proper test files for bit testing etc. This is how hardware should be developed. For 1k u get very little for your money. I wouldn't be surprised if most went to the Dirac license fees which means the hardware is hardly with 200 pounds . Ah well. Glad to get rid of it. Cheers

The shd plugin connects when I click on the "connect" button on the top right of the 1.2d version of shd plugin. But the IP address never shows in the box right next to it whether auto is pressed or not. Makes u wonder what this box is for ??? I even typed in the IP of the unit after getting it from the router but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Manual doesn't say a thing about this ip text box. (Tbh it's so easy to automatically find the IP address of the unit wonder why even this hasn't been implemented. Another case is crappy stuff ). I personally think it's the Dirac software but how can I proceed it without any logs being created by the apps. See, in any piece of software, developers create a log to write out what the software is doing. With these two pieces, shd plugin and Dirac there's no feedback, no logs, no tests, nothing. I wonder why people touting this stuff never mentioned this on Thier vids.

I was just looking at the release notes for the new SHD software released today and it looks like some of the changes might just help you? Have a look but it would seem worth installing it to see if it helps.
