I wonder if someone has experience in using different inputs on the SHD Studio. After doing the initial USB configuration and Dirac Calibration.

A higher quality clock like Mutec MC-3 USB -> AES/EBU to SHD Studio, will get better results rather than SHD Studio directly to computer via USB? Is it worth upgrade and bypass miniDSP internal clock?

Thank you

@nikosf.

We haven't but just so you know, AES-EBU is typically 20 to 24bit max. USB audio on the other hand is 32bit on the SHD Studio. :-)

Outputs of the SHD Studio are also AES and SPDIF to the DAC, so 24bit 96kHz..

Also I wonder, when SHD Studio is connected through USB to a computer, is it better to set the output settings of audio/midi setup to 96kHZ to match the internal sample rate of the device, or it's the same, as SHD will upsample it anyway?

Thank you
