Hello. Got everything running today and ran my first set of measurements. Great curve! However, immediately noticed volume is reduced by about 35-40%. Has anyone experienced anything similar? i noticed this while running measurements as well. Will dig further into how things are setup here, but nothing is jumping out at me.

Cheers and thanks in advance for your help.

That sounds very odd.

Could you post a screenshot of what you see in Dirac?

It could also be informative if you measured a frequency sweep in REW with Dirac on and then Dirac off, and posted the comparison. Just so we can see what is actually going on.

When you connect to Dirac it lowers the output of the SHD to - 30dB. After disconnecting from Dirac you have turn up the volume manually.

An other thing could be your target curve being set lower than the measured curve.

Ha! I guess you could be right it's just a master volume issue. When I connect my SHD to Dirac it drops the volume to -95 dB rather than -30 dB though. From here where it ends up will depend on the Volume Calibration step in Dirac and this will be the level the SHD is on when Dirac is closed.

Thanks for all the replies. Was helpful to be pointed in the direction of where the issue might be.

I re-ran the full sweep for tests. And, double-checked all levels before running the sweeps. The master volume locks out if set too high, so that wasn't an issue. It must have been the MIC gain or the L/R levels in my previous tests. After running this latest set of measurements the volume issue looks to have improved.

I have a few other questions regarding Dirac 2.0 but will post a separate thread.

Cheers and thanks.
