Can't find another post on this - so I will start one. Thank you team Minidsp!!
Delighted to now have a SHD - Studio that turns its display off rather than glowing brightly all the time. And the ability to turn off the SHD without unplugging is also great.
And on top of that the latest Volumio software update (pretty sure that is what it was) fixed the resolution problem that stopped the SHD playing happily on certain files from Roon. Now it sorts out my troublesome 24/352 files and plays them.
Well done team.

Does this automatically install?

And does it add roon volume control? (waiting for this for so long)

Firmware is a download and install via PC / USB - but very straightforward. Volumio update is semi-automatic - the Update button under settings in the User Interface does it.
Not sure on the volume side. I got my SHD new late last year and volume control as a Roon Endpoint worked from day 1 as per another discussion thread. Give the update a try and see how you go.

Thanks for the tip-off that there is an update :) .

The changes list rather begs one question: if a shutdown is done by pressing the control button for 3s, how do you turn it on again?

Edit: oh, and thanks @devteam for making the changes :) .

Excellent update. I noticed the volume control in Roon is now working. Is the SHD Studio Roon certified now?

After the update, what does it show in roon under the audio devices?

Hi.
I use a Mac mini running Mojave as Cataline is not yet supported - I have not tried to be honest - as I had upgraded and then downgraded back to Mojave as Dirac live was not working.

I have run the Mac OS firmware upgrade tool and upgraded the systemm

However when I start the SHD Plug in it still shows ver 1.10

Am I doing something wrong?

Did you install the new SHD software as well as upgrade the firmware? It’s included in the download package.

Hi
Many Thanks for your response

Yes. I have removed the old ver SHD plug in and re installed it from the new download. done today
Prior reinstalling, I also disconnected the SHD, switched it off and then On and then restarted it after the MAC had turned on
It still shows the same screen

Many Thanks for responding

@devteam what does the 'shutdown' actually do? Having released the control button after the 'Power off?' message was on the screen I can for example still connect to it via Volumio exactly as before.

It looks like @srkamath already had the correct SHD plugin version installed and so wouldn't have needed to do this (it says 1.8d2 at the top of the second photo).

I've installed the update using a Windows 10 laptop and the plugin now shows the 1.15 firmware version as in the picture below, so something doesn't look right @srkamath but I'm afraid I can't help with what. Unless it's just a bug in what is displayed in the plugin. You'll know if the new firmware is actually in use as the display will turn itself off after 30s.

Thanks for the tip @ultrasonic.

I deleted the plugin. realised that i had the plugin in the dock. removed that too and then reinstalled.
Enjoying the dark screen of 1.15
Thanks @Devteam
