I have a minidsp SHD Studio feeding Dutch & Dutch 8cs with an AES output. When trying to perform level calibration with the left channel I get no noise/sound, when trying to perform it on the right channel I get noise/sound from both speakers. I have tried every permutation I can think of to resolve this problem without success. When I play music from Roon or USB audio everything is fine and sounds great. Any idea?

What happens if you play music via the AES output?

Is that using the AES output? Reading back perhaps it is...

Have you checked the signal routing within the miniDSP software?

It is the AES output. The routing settings look correct. I am going to try test tones through minidsp today using REW to see what happens which should narrow down the problem.

I expect this is obvious but just in case, you realise that the routing can be different for different inputs? I'm only asking as it's the only simple way I can think of to achieve what you're experiencing.

Here is a picture of my configuration. I am using the AES 1 and 2 output to the active monitors.

Extremely odd indeed.... We're aware of few customers using SHD Studio with their D&D so we know it works..
Which OS are you using?

How is your wiring configuration? You should only have ONE cable out from the SHD Studio and then a link to your next box. Correct?
