Hi all,

I recently used the IOTAVX AVX1 as a pre-amp for music and cinema. I only drive a 2.0 setup with two B&M speakers.
Up to now I used the IOTAVX as "input" for my trigger power strip. So when I turned on the pre-amp, all the other necessary devices get current as well.
Now with the MiniDSP SHD I don't have the option to turn it on, because there is no option for it. I read that it is designed as a "always-on" device which has very minor power consumption. But in that case it will not trigger my power strip.
I thought I can probably use a remote controlled power socket to turn the MiniDSP SHD on that way and I would like to get your opinion herefor.

Do you think the "durability" is better if I keep it on all the time or turn it on/off via a remote controlled power socket?

Thank you in advance :)
