After updating the SHD studio to the new DIRAC/DSP I was listening to music and doing measurements without issue. Then, out of the blue, I couldn't take anymore measurements because dirac stopped outputting sound at all. I spent hours on the issue: resetting everything, reloading everything, switching back to old Dirac, SSHing to check the alsamixer. Never found the problem but I did find a work-around...

I could no longer operate Dirac when set to the Lan input. Turns out switching it to coax brought everything back to full operational capability. It would be nice to know what happened to make the Lan input cancel the Dirac output, but I have no problem switching it to coax for measurements.

Just in case someone else runs into this problem, you can try this to get things working again.

@calenw

We're indeed aware of this limitation which is related to how audio is being handled inside the DSP for the LAN source (ASRC behavior). It's a known limitation that under LAN, Dirac will stop working (i..e not able to generate the sweep). I thought that we included inside the user manual but maybe we forgot it. Will try to double check it. Thanks for sharing your experience and sorry to hear you struggled to find that culprit!
