According to "DIRAC LIVE 2.0 USER MANUAL SUPPLEMENT", the SDH firmware must be updated, but the firmware version seems to be the same as for Dirac Live 1.0. Both are version 1.10 issued 12.mar. 2019 16.01.

Does anyone know why this is necessary? The manual states that: "This ensures that your processor starts with a “clean slate.”", to me, that doesn't seem logical, so I might be misunderstanding.

Indeed, that's correct. THe firmware is the same. The plugin is "not" this being said.
That statement is a blanket statement so all customers run the "latest" version. :-)
