I want to use the SHD vs the miniDSP HD due to its higher quality and better measurements. I'm new to this world, so is 3 way possible for the SHD, or does it have too few outputs? Thanks!

Did you get a chance to open the SHD manual? If not, start by this maybe?
The SHD is 2x4 DSP structure as you can see inside, so it will be hard to do a 2 x 6 (required for 3way) .. :-)

If you do it,you'll need some sort of hybrid (e.g. passive xover for the MID + TWEETS. Just a thought.
