A while back the SHD" was reviewed by the Audio Science Review, with nothing short of stellar results, an amazing achievement.
Well done to the MiniDSP team!

Here's the review: www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.p...p-and-streamer.4286/

The one area where the SHD slipped up a little was to do with residual noise and jitter. The author of the review wondered if the visible spikes were a result of slightly less than perfect shielding from the DSP.

Here's the graph showing the noise and jitter artefacts: www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.p...surements-png.15070/

While all well below audibility levels, has there been any thoughts to tidying up this one minor blemish on a great product?

Somehow doubt you'll get a reply from Devteam on this one but I share your concern.

When I'm listening to Motorhead at 120db I can still hear ants passing wind in my garden, so noise and jitter from my SHD at -130db is very annoying. ;-)

Joking aside, if minidsp were to confirm they had a fix for this, I suspect they'd receive a deluge of owners sending their units back to HQ for a pointless update.

Whilst those measurements might be of slight technical disappointment, they're audibly irrelevant as the author states. Probably best to let sleeping dogs lie and look forward to SOTA measurements in the 8 channel version I'm hoping they decide to make. :)

Probably an improvement for SHD 2.0, or a home theater version of SHD as DNM mentioned.

I do wish a better streaming option is coming at the soonest.
