Uninstalled plugin and dirac 2, installed version 1 plugin and dirac and dirac still can't find shd even though plugin does. Guess I'll have to use the other PC where version 1 stuff works.

I'm currently experiencing the same issue. I am on OSX 10.14.5, updated the SHD firmware to 1.10, installed Dirac 2.0, and the SHD plugin is version 1.7d2. My download of the SHD package didn't have a "DLCT" folder in it like the documentation suggested.

The SHD plugin cannot locate the device. In Dirac 2.0, it reports "No Devices Found". In both cases, the device is not found even when I manually put in the IP address that I've verified the SHD is pulling. I can access the SHD's web interface at that same IP address.

Tried wireless and wired. USB connected and disconnected.

OK, and the solution as sort of indicated by someone here:
1. Connect MAC via USB to SHD
2. Run SHD Plugin
3. Run Dirac *from* the SHD Plugin

Has to be done in this order to function, and none of this is clear from the documentation.

I'm now getting an EndpointBadState error from Dirac, complaining about a "fetch filter slot data request", but I can only assume that's some NEW issue.

The Dirac 2.0 Live Addendum is linked prominently from the SHD product page and now from the User Downloads page.

OK, Dirac Live 2 now recognizes my SHD under Windows 10 1903 but errors with "the fetch filter slot data request was not recognized by the SHD". This is after installing the plugin, refreshing the DSP from the plugin, installing the USB audio windows drivers, updating the XMOS firmware, all from the Dirac 2 download from User Downloads and with Dirac Live 2 latest download. And rebooting the SHD.

In getting ths far I noticed that if the windows USB drivers are already installed the install process says a reboot is necessary and uninstalls the existing drivers but does not always install them again after rebooting so the DFU update can't find the driver GUID for the XMOS firmware update. In that case the USB audio drivers need to be installed again manually.

So not being recognized for me before seems to have been a Windows Insider bug (build 18970)

I finally get my shd connected to the dirac live 2.0!! I took the measures and uploaded the filters. I noticed that the volume is lower than in the dirac 1.0 preset, anyone noticed the same? Is it normal?

Hello,
looks like you all solved the "Dirac Live 2.0 - Cannot detect device" issue finally. I am still struggling with that problem. Have not been able to fix it, yet. I tried all the tips you mentioned here, but without success. I am with Windows 10 1903 and I saw, Entripy managed it to run. SHD plugin is version 1.7d2, Dirac Live is 2.2.3 126. Any idea why it does not work for me?

Perhaps try powering your SHD off and on. I've had many issues when the SHD USB either locked up or only half worked since updating to 2.0 stuff. Never had that with version 1. It also really didn't like being on a USB 2 hub into a USB 3.0 port and only started working after connecting the hub to a USB 2 port. So overall the experience has gone from always works to fingers crossed and it may work if it likes the port, doesn't lock up and you stand on one leg chanting incantations. Even then Dirac 2 gives errors and can't control slots 2, 3 and 4 so I can't claim to have it properly working but it did at least recognize my device ultimately. However, 2 is so unreliable in so many ways and Dirac has enough misfeatures even when it does work that I've gone back to version 1 for now.

Thank you very much, Entripy, for your response. I am curious, how my experiences will be, when I started using Dirac Live with the SHD Studio. A few minutes ago Dirac Live could detect my SHD. From the support desk I learned, how important the UMIK-1 is for the device detection and I found out, in my security mania I did not allow app access to the microphone. This prevents Dirac Live from detecting the SHD in my case. So i am very happy for the moment and cannot wait to start measuring and listening :-)

Very good point, Magru.
I had the same problems ; Dirac Live 2.0 didn't detect my device (an SHD Studio) in USB mode , even after a careful 'by the book' installation, software upgrades and an apparently happy SHD 1.7d2 ..... up to the point where I discovered that REW - which was running in the background - was not able to connect my UMik 1 to any of the selected soundcard.
I presumed that a corrupted USB driver was the cause of the problem related to Dirac Live 2 and I remembered in the same time that UMik 1 was not connected when I installed the dedicated USB driver contained into the MiniDSP SHD package.
So, a clean new driver uninstall/install session - WITH this time a connected UMik - made apparent for the first time 2 warnings issued by the Windows Firewall in order to allow SHD.exe and DiracLive 2 to access to private networks.
And relaunching DiracLive thru SHD 1.7d2 was successful at this time - as well as at every following tentative - , but badly enough only when using USB and never when trying to repeat the procedure using Wi-Fi and a wirelesss WI-DG bridge (both AP or Station modes tested without success) .
So I presume that something is still missing in the Dirac/MiniDSP dialogue and that the next software upgrade - probably on the MiniDSP driver side - will correct the corrupted Wi-Fi behaviour.
One more point worth to be related : all tests have been done in parallel on 2 different platforms, one running Win 10 and the other Win 7, and both showed the same exact behaviors - and now work perfectly fine using Dirac Live 2 and USB ....

How did you get it to work? I have a MBP 16 and can not connect to the SHD

Same problem here with Catalina (10.15.3) on 2018 mbp15: DDRC/SHD (v1.9d2 f/w 1.10) drivers connect to 2HD via USB perfectly, then hit "Start Dirac Live Software" button which launches DL 2.4.1, but after DL does its device scan I get "No devices found". Tried with and without login to DL site. No luck. Does this work for anyone?

When you can connect to the miniDSP then start the Dirac direly and remember to plug in your UMIC-1 before starting Dirac

macOS should ask you about access to the filesystem and maybe access to the microphone

DDRC-24 did ask for access to the file system (Documents), but neither DDRC-24, nor DL2 asked for microphone access, though the Umik-1 was connected and working properly. DL2 installer did not request file permissions.

In the DL2 installation (application?) log there were errors where the app attempted network connections to some odd local (192.168.??) addresses. Unfortunately I don't have these any more since I've successfully reverted to DL1, which is working just fine.

I prefer to wait for Dirac to sort out their flaky software. Could be a while given their track record. Several years ago I bought their very expensive software-only Dirac Live Room Correction Suite-Stereo for Mac only to have it stop working after a couple of OS updates. They've been promising a replacement for more than 3 years now.
