Hello!

The volumio app couldn’t find my new SHD Studio. So I assigned a static ip in my router and now connect the app by entering the ip address. I did not change the network settings in Volumio. This worked ok for a day or so but for some reason the unit looses the network connection often. Music stops playing and the app no longer finds the device. Rebooting the minidsp solves the issue temporary. I also rebooted the router twice. Any suggestions how to solve this? Thanks!

the Volumio app is not compatible with the build in the SHD,, many have had problems with it (btdt)

it sounds like an IP conflict of some sort

Thanks, running a few days without any issues so problem seems to be solved. Could be indeed an ip conflict,

Now waiting for my mic stand to arrive and to do some proper measurements

Please make sure to update your Volumio app. It's indeed compatible to access the SHD as this is how we control the unit here.. :-)

Mine doesn’t work . The app refuses to see the SHD despite being on same wifi. I’ve tried reinstalling it too. Web version works ok.

that's good news. I did not bother to look at it again because using the web interface worked for me

well, that is not for Android then, the version on my phone is still a 2018 version and acc the play store it is up-to-date. And as expected, behaviour is still the same: not finding the SHD

No problem with Volumio Android app and SHD Studio here.

Tip: If you rename your device it's network name changes accordingly.

Yes. During setup I changed the device name from default "SHD Studio" (?) to "muziek-jaaptina". This changes the network name
http://muziek-jaaptina/.



Got automatic IP set to YES

What worked for me is assigning a static ip to the shd in your router and use the ip address to connect manually in volumio. For some reason i need to restart my shd a few times a month to solve connection issues, quite annoying.
