Point taken about being in the wrong section but I was actually replying to the fact that my minidsp would not not permit my Kii's to go into standby mode either, which is the topic under discussion.

dreite thanks for the update.

I may see about just placing an on/off button in line in the power supply.

Hi!
Seems there is a new remote controller for the SHD processors that have a standby button. So with that it's possible to put a SHD Studio to standby mode as well?
Thanks!

I bought the new remote from Deer Creek Audio just for the stand-by feature. It cost $18 (w/ free ship), so it's a no-brainer. Plug and play. I keep the original remote by the unit for convenience - no more fiddling with the dial. Deer Creek is also where I bought the SHD last year.

The remote also has a play/pause button that works well if you listen with Volumio.

The next track button of the new remote also works when using Bubbleupnp as control point.

Switching the SHD Studio is not very interesting, as I wrote in the following thread:

Power usage drops from around 5.1W to 4.5W.
The volumio part in the device is still running. So I guess this draws the main power?
