Hello there,

I am not yet an SHD owner but am trying to figure out its capabilities.

Would it be possible on the analog input only to configue an accurate RIAA EQ curve for vinyl playback. Let's assume enough gain is availbale externally for the phono cartridge.

And could this curve be independent of the DIRAC eq curve and the crossover curves. In other words, how many curves can be applied on after the other? First RIAA, the crossovers, then DIRAC.

Thank you so much!

Regards,

Mark

@Mark

It's indeed entirely possible. Check out the advanced biquad page: www.minidsp.com/applications/advanced-to...d-biquad-programming
You can load the RIAA settings from the advanced biquad tabs.

The Question in this post was

And could this curve be independent of the DIRAC eq curve and the crossover curves. In other words, how many curves can be applied on after the other? First RIAA, the crossovers, then DIRAC.

Where can we find the information on how we can combine custom filter in combination with DIRAC.

I was looking for this information .

I like to implement the following,
1. Implement Loudness with Low-Shelf and High-Shelf before DIRAC
2. Read the input level and do Average with an external controller
3. Set the Low-Shelf and High-Shelf Gain according to input level.

So my question
1. Can you pls confirm that we can implement custom filter before DIRAC processing, where can we find the information to do so?
2. With DIRAC plug-in can we readout the input level
3. With DIRAC plug-in can we control the Gain of the high and low shelf

See the User Manual. Short version is that the user-definable processing is on the output channels only.

Depends on how you read the question I suppose. You could load the EQ into the output channels, although it would have to be done after Dirac calibration. Either way, it seems to me like not a very good idea...
