Hi,

I strongly consider to buy the new minidsp SHD, but a few more questions:

1) My house router is not near my livingroom where i want to place my SHD, so i cannot run LAN cable, can i use these "LAN over power lines" devices to transfer the LAN stream to the SHD?

2) what is deliverytime from i place the order until i recive the SHD at my adress in Denmark?

3) I already got the UMIC from minidsp, but the serial number label is very weak, so i can have problems in downloading the right compensation file. Can minidsp track down my purchase, and see somewhare what the serial number of my mic is, so i can get the right file?

@mtolesen

Thanks for your interest.
- You could use your existing Wifi to extend your network to a local access point setup as repeater mode. In our office we use the WIDG in repeater mode to a)stream to the SHD via WIFI TO LAN bridge b) Remotely control the SHD via WIFI to USB bridge. Works like a charm.. :-)
- Delivery to Denmark will take about 1week I'd think.
- Umik-1, unfortunately looking at your purchase back in 2013, we didn't used to record it to our ERP back then.. :-( I'm afraid that we don't have a record anymore.. :-(

Is the repeater mode currently implemented? The documentation seems to state that it is not.
If so, can the same WI-DG unit be connected to the Ethernet port for streaming and the USB port for control (at the same time)?
I am considering getting an SHD and the lack of WiFi support is a real bummer for a living room destined device. If WI-DG works simultaneously as above it would be more useful than a generic WiFi-Ethernet bridge (although far from perfect, as I'd expect the functionality to be built in at this day and age and at this price point).
Thanks.

@blin

The choice of not putting Wifi inside the product was very much deliberate from our design team. While it might not be for everybody, we don't believe that Wifi and low noise audio are meant to be next to each others... I guess a design choice on the product line I guess..

The repeater mode is indeed possible and will soon become documented once we get some time for both the user manual + SHD behavior.. There is a little issue in some cases for repeater mode. We just need to make sure everything is correct. Thanks for your patience. :-)
