Hi everybody.
This has already been asked probably, but I cannot find an answer.
Is the controlling software based on some linux distribution ?
I was just wondering if other application control could be installed instead of Volumio.

Indeed, it's in progress now. It's actually a very simple fix. Just need some time for a)new certification b) new Qc and we've been quite full on these past few weeks. It's coming up.

2) any idea when (or if) it will be added to the Logitech Harmony database?

Will the SHD be able to work as a Roon endpoint?

Quick question: on SHD studio, also the USB input will be processed by Dirac Live?
So for example I could use a raspberry pi with Moode as source through the USB connection to SHD studio and process Moode output with DLCT on SHD?
And...on a side note, no info yet on SHD Studio price?

Any update? I would really like to order the SHD, but standby current consumption is important because of the energy prices here (given that there is no power button in the front).

It is 11W measured at the Power outlet.

- Reviews will indeed come soon. Some unit will ship soon to reviewers. We don't have any control over the press.. They carry their own path..
- The SHD is actually able to learn any IR so we don't need to add to any database.. You can a)setup harmony to any device e.g. SONY TV b)learn that IR. All set.

Good question.. Unfortunately as you may (or may not know), we never release our roadmap until it's ready. We always push for new features this being said and we do love the Roon technology.

A standby mode will soon be added to the operation of the unit. It's more of a firmware feature. No timeline but it's on our TODO list..

All inputs will indeed be processed by Dirac Live on all our units (SHD or SHD Studio). That is Volumio in/SPDIF/TOSLINK/USB Audio.
No price info as manufacturing batch is now under process and not yet finalized but we're hoping to have some news soon.

We always love it when our customers take a product to the next stage.. We've had Roon bridge working for a while here but unfortunately didn't have time/length to proceed to the "Roon Ready" program (lots of steps). Maybe in the future when things settle, we can consider it.

Hi,
A question on something I’m not clear about re: the SHD Studio and the USB port - is it IN or OUT?
As in...
Computer > USB > SHD
Or
Can you do Computer > Ethernet > SHD to do Dirac DSP > USB > External DAC

One issue that I found is that I am not able to stream any audio through Roon that is higher than 16 bit. I need to set Roon to downconvert any hires track to 16bit or I just get noise. Can you tell me if you have the same experience ?

Roon sees the audio output as “snd-sun8i-i2s-dac” using ALSA.
