I just ordered an SHD and waiting for shipment but doing lots of pre-research and watching how to videos on Youtube and reading the various miniDSP internal “how to” links.

Regarding using REW to do an accurate time delay between a sub and 2 main stereo speakers, I found a good article the miniDSP site called "Subwoofer integration with the miniDSP SHD and  REW" but then found a video on Youtube (I've 3 times tried posting a similar post attaching hyper links or copying and pasting in a Youtube link and my posts are flagged as SPAM so just giving you the title of the video here you can quickly look up yourselves on Youtube) called "REW Home Theatre Subwoofer and Min Theatre Speaker Time Alignment and New House Curve Method" If you skip to 20:13 minutes into the  video, as the person posted shared in the description, you can get to the "new time alignment feature" in REW that is explained. This video was made almost 2 years ago, so guessing this is no longer so "new" as an REW feature.

Has anyone tried this method with good results? Seems to take the guess work out that is implied in the method the miniDSP recommends in the first link above…although, this is all hypothetical to me as I’ve yet to do my first tests with REW (and learn to navigate the software) once I receive my SHD.

thanks, Carlos
