See my web site for a linear-phase equalization freely based on ISO 226:2003 normal contours:

Hi Rob,

Very interesting, and funny that you should publish this now: the coming 1.5.0 version of rephase will have a loudness compensation feature:

Great, I will try it in rePhase 1.5.0 as soon as it comes out :)
My loudness eq was refined by listening with several types of speakers. It really benefits the little ones. On the other hand
such compensation is unnecessary on my large main system.

Really cool

I can’t wait either

so POS , is there a way to have a rephrase correction that makes your system flat then a way to import a target over the top of your correction to make target that assumes all your EQs are at 00

if I load let’s say his will it just erase my EQs and put his in instead ?

thanks

Hi Rob,

when designing a loudness correction curve you may take the difference between the reference curve of the mixing environment (about 80dB) to the lower curves (e.g.70dB or 60dB) as a basis for correction. Taking the absolute equal hearing curves ISO 226:2003 as the correction curve is too much what we should here when reducing the volume ...

Uli

Hi Uli,
Totally agree, boosting the bass along the ISO curve is way too much. Equally important in my opinion is the compensation in the area of maximum hearing sensitivity, between 1 and 5 kHz, to improve the overall sound balance. And this does not need to vary with the volume.
