I received my PWR-ICE on Monday afternoon and finished my subwoofer project yesterday evening. Everything worked smoothly, except for three screws that broke during mounting the amp to a MDF board (predrilled). The amp connected to my network and I was able to configure it to bridge mode and adjust the xover etc., very nice:)
Yesterday evening I used it for 3-4hrs and it worked perfeclty. This morning I powered it again and I heard a noise like a discharging capacitor, then after a second there was a low humming, about 200Hz and finaly after 3-5 seconds a very load humming at the same frequency and I had to switch of the power before destroying the woofer.
Do you have any idea what happened? I have tried to reset the amp and power it again but no success.

Vidar,

Sounds from our records that you're already in touch with our team so let's try to keep one communication path please. Prevents double work from our colleagues.
Thanks for your understanding and I'm sure that we're going to find the solution very soon. :-)

Hej there again,
i have my module up and running for almost a week and yesterday i tried to get rid of a very quiet but present humming. Mastervolume level, digital or analog input (even no input at all) make absolutely no difference. Its the same humming all the time. It´s not really loud but when there is no music playing and it is quiet you can notice it. My speakers are very sensitive 70s lowther horns, probably > 96dB, but my girlfriends 50 Euro china class D amp is absolutely quiet. Is this something i will have to live with? Do you have any suggestions what i could try next?
cheers,
Lukas

@ Lukas,

Humming (60/50Hz) is typically related to a ground loop. Comes in when you have some devices connected with/without earthing between them.
You could troubleshoot (see a lot of google reference for investigating ground loops) or just use an isolator (www.radioshack.com/ground-loop-isolator/2700054.html). These are also very common.

The module is only connected to the socket and both speakers, same humming.

Mmmh, very odd indeed. Maybe best at this point of time that you start a tech support ticket (right way for us to track an issue). Here is the link: minidsp.desk.com
Never heard of this before so we'll need to see more what could be the issue here.
