Hi All

I've been running a pair of PWR-ICE successfully from the balanced analogue outputs of my Audiolab MDAC for a few weeks now.

I tried a direct digital signal but found that the SPDIF output of the MDAC didn't work with the AES/EBU input of the PWR-ICE, DevTeam promptly sent the resistor kit which were fitted - SPDIF input to PWR-ICE now works when fed directly from my MDAC, even with a 3m long RCA-XLR cable :) Great service from DevTeam.

However, the PWR-ICE digital input does not work when using the digilink output from the other plate-amp, so I'm not sure if the buffered digital output is being output properly ? All cables are wired in accordance with the user manual.

any suggestions?

Simon,

Unfortunately for the link out to work with SPDIF (on the early revision), there are quite a few more SMT modifications to be done (i..e buffering level). All plates amplifier shipping now do have that work done (a bit tricky) so it does work on revB models. For your case (RevA model), 2 options:
1) Using a SPDIF splitter cable at the source (now that SPDIF input is working). That will work perfectly fine.
OR
2) Ship the unit back to us and we can rework it for you.

Hoping this info helps.

Hi DevTeam

Not sure if you recived my email, but the ideal option would be for you to send some RevB boards to replace my faulty RevA ones, rather than me having to ship them back from the UK for rework. That way I won't be without music for more than 30 mins. Please lt me know if this is ok.

Cheers

Simon

Hi DevTeam

I'd be grateful for a response to my request above to swap out my RevA boards for RevB.
