Hi,
I am attempting to get a few PWR ICE units to talk and allow themselves to be configured.
The 1st (a 250) cooperated just fine, and is performing great.
The next 2 amps (a 125 and a 250) seem to have dead NICs (network connectors). The NICs don't light up at all to indicate that they're connected, and neither do they show up on any network.
One unit arrived with some cables disconnected between the power amp and the input board, so I'm starting to wonder if this is a problem with Quality Control and/or a lack of testing before the units ship.

Any ideas before I just send the (presumably) defective units back?
I have 2 more to test/run. Perhaps I'll be sending back several of them...
thanks!

Did they come from a dealer or direct from miniDSP?

It just sounds a bit like someone's messed with them - "One unit arrived with some cables disconnected between the power amp and the input board". I'm not sure whether you're supposed to open a ticket with miniDSP or PE.

Hi John,
thanks for the help. Yesterday, I had a palm to forehead moment: Check the voltage, dummy!

Sure enough, all the "defective" units were set to 230v. Pretty funny for US bound products.

Everything is happy now. 115volts (when set to 230) is only enough to light the indicator lamp.
I configured each unit in about 2 minutes a piece. And the loose connectors? Annoying, but a super easy fix- so no problem.

Sure, no problem, although I didn't actually do anything :) The voltage setting does seem odd... but glad it's sorted!
