Dear community
is it possible to use a PW-ICE 250 in SE mode for a three way box.
Bass = channel 1
Mid and High = channel 2, with a passive crossover at e.g. 5000 Hz
In the manual of the ICEpower250ASX2 is a table that defines: :
Maximal purely capacitive load (SE) 390 nF
Maximal purely capacitive load (BTL) 150 nF
With a passive crossover (e.g. 5000 Hz, Butterworth 12 db) the capacitor will be 2.7 uF, much more then the 390 nF allowed.
Will the the passive crossover damage the ICEpower module or decrease sound quality, or ??
Thanks for answers

The spec is for a purely capacitive load, whereas with the crossover you have a significant resistive component.
