Hi there,

PWR-ICE 125 uses the ASX125 amplifier of Ice Power. Today I have noticed something different and wanted ask.

When I look at the ASX125 part of PWR-ICE125, I see that there are two power options which are 115V and 230V which is selectable by user. There are also two jumpers.

I also see that there is a permanent jumper cable on the 230V so it is always on. On the 115V jumper, there is a switch. So when this switch is ON, both 115V and 230V cables are connected. And the switch says 115Volts.

When the switch is off (says 230V) only the 230V jumper remains connected... (115V jumper is deactivated)

Can this be correct? I mean if both jumpers are connected will the amplifier work on 115V?

Thanks...

Unfortunately unable to fully understand your question... Are you trying to play/debug/modify the PWR-ICE? I'd be extremely careful if you're playing with live AC and not have a full understanding of the Icepower module operation. As a company, we'd certainly not want to get involved in providing reference on how to connect live AC on your custom setup... It's a liability for our company. If you want to customise something, please contact Icepower directly. It's better. Thanks for your understanding.

Out of the box, the PWR-ICE works for both 115/230. Simply toggle the front panel switch near the AC plug as per the manual.

I’m using several ICEpower 125asx2 amplifiers in My system, two are from Minidsp.
It appears the amplifiers are setup in 230volt mode from Minidsp while the external switch is set to 115.
I’m not using any of mine with 230volts but find it strange the 115 volt jumper is shorted if I switch it to 230.
