Is there any other user of PWR-DSP here?? Can't find very much writing about them

I've had mine for several years and they are great when they work, but I really struggle with some SW issues...

I have several quite huge problems with my PWR-DSP amps and unfortunately there is not too much help to get from support so don't know what to do any more.

The main problem is that settings set in the software apparently randomly is not saved properly with the DSP so after a reboot/power down the settings could be all wrong. To make it all worse/complicated, the settings in the SW can also show correct but without a doubt the sound from the speakers tell it's all wrong. When I adjust settings, everything is fixed, but it's hopeless to adjust all settings every time the amps are turned off. It does not help to save and load settings, the problem is still there... Sound strange, but belive me it's true, and the exact same on my 3 amps.

According to suport I'm the only one with problems but I really don't understand how this is possible since I have the exact same problems with all 3 amps..

If I cant get this problem fixed soon I guess my only choice is to replace the DSP card with cards from another DSP manufacturer so that I can still use the amp modules.

@ baldrick,

This amp, at this pricepoint and feature set, isn't as commonly sold as all other platforms. You're indeed correct.
Looking at your name, we can indeed see that you had some issue but I do believe that the team did push to get DSP modules replaced (although well out of warranty by then) for you to make the situation better. Is that correct? We do stand to make sure we help our customers. Thanks again for your patience.

We indeed see that you placed a request for another issue 2weeks ago, unfortunately, that was right in the middle of Holidays for the team, right before CES and unfortunately we haven't been able to allocate some engineering resources to solve that bug. For any software in the world, bugs happen.. We do try out best, knowing we have many customers and many products to help all our customers. Can we do 24h turnaround on issues that are not always easy to debug? Unfortunately not.. :-( Can we keep pushing to make everybody happy? We try hard! :-)

Anyway, we'll have a closer look at what's going. Our engineers will figure out what's going.

Thank you for Your answer!

You have previous been very helpful and it's very corect that you also sent me DSP Cards. They were much better than the original cards and as I said, they are great when they work properly BUT there are some major SW/HW issuses that makes them close to impossible to use. I belive there are just "small" (but severe) bugs and as I wrote I'm also very interested in helping to make everything work.

You've stated I'm the only have reported these problems, so one of the reason for this post was to find other users of these amps to see if I'm really the only one With these problems or if it's common to others as well. It is quite frustrating when settings randomly changes/dissaperes.

Let me know if there's something I can do to help solve this problem so we can make this as good as Product as it really could be!

@ baldrick

Thanks for the follow up and for your patience.
As we may have implied in the tech support ticket, some bugs are not always easy to be found so indeed possible (it happens a LOT) that one issue happens for one, doesn't happen to everybody.. That's most likely what we meant in saying we weren't aware of it. That's all :-)

Anyway, we see your ticket. We'll take care of you. No worries, we've just been slammed with work + holidays + tradeshow so January was simply the worst month for us to answer everybody's request.. :-( We're working hard on the backlog and will deal with your bug shortly.

Thanks for your patience.

A litle update here!

Today I got an e-mail from devteam with brand new firmware and software for my PWR-DSP amps and the new versions seems to now have fixed many of the problems I've had :) There are still some bugs and I've reported them but this really was a huge step in the right direction and I'm very glad support took the problem seriously.

As I wrote the PWR-DSP really is a great product when it works, and when all SW issues is fixed, it will be an awsome product :)

PWR-DSP is a different product, it seems unlikely it would apply to PWR-ICE...?

Indeed a good reply from John already. Your comment is unrelated since the software is completely different. We don't have any issues/bugs under PWR-ICE. No need to worry! :-)
