Hi Devteam

Although these have a very similar feel to them, I thought to ask what the differences are between the DSP engines in the 2 devices. ie will I get the same result (within the DSP engines themselves) simply by transcribing settings designed on the 2x4, into the PWR-ICE125.

I built a pair of LXminis, using the settings intended for the minidsp 2x4, transcribed into the PWR-ICE125 modules.

I am building another pair, and wondered (belatedly) if these have any differences at all. I don't have any measuring equipment, or any other paid built precisely per the SL instructions to compare my devices with. But I am very pleased with the sound I am getting.

cheers

Jay

Jay,

These are indeed different DSP engines( ADAU1701 on the 2x4 vs ADAU1445 on the PWR-ICE).
The sample rate and processing power is indeed different for that reason. 48k on 2x4 vs 96k on PWR-ICE. This will therefore limit the transcription because you can't use a biquad built for 96k on a 48k processor .All frequency will be doubled.

There is a LXmini configuration for the 4x10 I believe (ADAU1445 based like PWR-ICE). So that would be the path for your setup on the PWR-ICE.

Makes sense?
