Hi,

I was thinking of using the 8x8DSP together with 4 PWR-ICE125wd
Is it possible to strip the PWR-ICE plates and put everything in one box and possible exclude the volume/input card?
Also, if I do this, can I use the balanced output from DSP to connect directly to the ICE module without the volume card on the plate amp?

Sounds like a big box!

This whole setup would become out of warranty since we're not allowed by Icepower T&C to sell/use the modules standalone (i.e. not part of a product) but I don't see any reason why it would be an issue here. You will need to use the small IO card on each amplifier though. You can "NOT" feed directly the Icepower module. There are conditions/prelevel requirements that you'd be missing and the Icepower does not accept balanced besides..

Ok so the IO card is needed. I will use a standard HTPC chassis and work from there, it should fit (I hope...)

I'm in the process to DIY some speakers to my dad. This unit will support the two front speakers.
A testbuild of the front speakers are done, well, not so nice looking, but the sound is very promissing
Also the surround speakers will be active, but they are step two...
