Hi there,

i would like to use a (one!) pwr ice 125 for room-equalization and amplification of two passive stereo-loudspeakers. Is there a software/firmware which is able to use both inputs to use the pwr ice in stereo-mode?

Hi, I'm fairly certain that the answer to your question is "no" (sorry!). The PWR-ICE plugin supports 1-in 2-out (and 1-in 1-out in BTL mode) only.

PS. You CAN sum both channels L+R to drive both output channels, but you cannot drive one output from L and one output from R.

PPS. Perhaps you could drop the suggestion in the Suggestion Box area.

hehehe.. first time we can "trick" John with that one... :-)

There is indeed a new plug-in which does 2 x IN, 2 x OUT. It was released few weeks ago a bit in a stealth program for a beta test. The plug-in is now available to the whole community under the User Downloads section. Have a look at it and let us know if you have any questions.

Sorry, no FIR access on the PWR-ICE. That plug-in update is for modifying the structure from 1x2 to 2x2. A single plug-in now handles all configuration (1x2 OR 2x2) with a single radio button select.

Is there any other ways than tftp?
My pc runs windows8

mmmh, we'll need to learn a bit more what's the issue and errors you're seeing. In a lot of cases, firewal are the cause for TFTP failure.
Did you see the user manual on how to enable TFTP under Win7? Can u see the same steps maybe?

Once we learn more of the issue, we can help and suggest.

Not sure if you still have the issue since we didn't hear back from you but just in case, here is a step by step for using another software than TFTP in windows.

I found the problem and got around to upload the New firmware.
But when try the 2x2 program this comes up on my screen: "Please update the firmware.
Require version 3 or above.(Current version 2.006)"
Any Guess?

I can't be 100% sure as I had already updated it, but using tftp in Terminal seems to work. The trick is that you need to set it to binary mode:
wind:PWR_ICE2_2x2_101 johnr$ cd firmware/
wind:firmware johnr$ ls
PWR-ICE2_firmware_update_procedure.pdf	pwr-ice2_v3_0.hex
wind:firmware johnr$ tftp 192.168.1.6
tftp> binary
tftp> put pwr-ice2_v3_0.hex
Sent 274960 bytes in 14.1 seconds
tftp>
