I hooked the nanoAVR to my blue ray player and Anthem d2 sound processor. It has HDMI 1.3a. I expected it to pass through a video signal and audio signal right out of the box. I'm getting nothing. I'm on config 1. I set it to HDMI1. It was originally on HDMI2. I switch the cables but still nothing. I upgraded the device with the latest firmware but still nothing. Do I need to configure something before I get a picture? Anyone else having this type of problem?

HDMI seems to be a bit tricky at times. Might be best to look at the User Manual? It's linked from the product page: www.minidsp.com/images/documents/nanoAVR%20User%20Manual.pdf

I looked at the manual. I didn't see anything specific about video besides selecting the HDMI. I moved it to a simpler configuration and I wasn't getting a picture. Then the screen flashed and I got video. Not sure what it was but there isn't much to change. I see audio coming in but I don't hear audio going out. It's not on mute. Trying to figure out the master volume. The manual only talks about the remote. It is showing 0 DB in the Plug-in. Do I need to apply something to get audio?

Well I moved it down into my main system and now I'm getting audio and video. I wasn't getting video earlier. I really didn't change anything. So going from my DirecTV DVR to the nanoAVR to my Panasonic TV model TC- P46530 I don't get any audio. Downstairs from my OPPO 93 to nanoAVR to Anthem D2v to Panasonic ZT60 TV I get audio and video. Looks like there needs to be a little work on the EDID and HDMI handshaking. The video blinks on and off a couple times in 10 minutes.

Hi again, I suspect that may be because the TV only supports 48 kHz (HDMI basic audio), whereas the nanoAVR will always output at 96 kHz.

I didn't realize it upgraded all formats to 24/96 even if no processing is done on the data. I figured only if the audio stream was altered it would go to 24/96. Hopefully they can program a bypass to altering the data stream if no DSP changes are requested in the future.

They won't be able to do that, the plugin is 96khz and operates only in that clock domain. Its the same for all the sharc based products them make.
