For those of us that use height and wide speakers, how does the Nano deal with that and will I be able to eq those extra speakers independently.

Thanks.

The nanoAVR can only equalize what's going down the HDMI pipe, which is 8 channels of audio. The extra speakers are derived from those 8 by the AVR - how exactly I don't know. I don't have 11.x but I think what I'd try is just doing the EQ as for 7.1 (with the height/width processing turned off), then turn the processing back on.

Thanks.
I already have MDSP's for active xo/eq on my LCR, but my surrounds run off the AVR built in amps so I was looking for a way to eq
those 8 speakers. $300 would probably be more than I would want to spend to just do 4 of them.

Hm. Well, I guess that's a conundrum.

Just one of about a hundred when you are on a budget :).
-Would like to upgrade the woofers in my LCR.
-Would like to upgrade my projector so I only need one to fill my 185" wide scope screen.
-Would like to...you get the idea.

@ MX48,

John indeed already answered correctly. The feed that is modified is the HDMI feed for audio which is up to 8ch. Derived channels (e.g. more than 8ch) and not part of the HDMI stream can't really be created unless if you were to use an HDMI spiltter of some sort (e.g. 2 HDMI feed being processed.
