Hi
I am new on Minidsp and Home theatre and I have some questions.

A couple of years ago I started my home theatre projekt, now I have stated a new project with the acoustic in the room.
So i have used Rew and measured with a u-mik 1. Have mounted some absorbers and diffusers with a good result. Now I want to go for the digital solution to get a good frequence curve. I have a 7.2.2 setup, all driven by a marantz receiver. I have looked at the minidsp 2x4HD to sync the subs but I would like to tune the higher frequence too (not only the sub). What I found out is that I need an extra amplifier so I can put a minidsp between the receiver and the amplifier. Is this right or have a misunderstood?

I found out that there is a minidsp called NanoAVR dl that uses Dirac live. Maybe that's a good solution for my system? I can then connect a Apple TV 4 and my Dune media player before the NanoDSP with hdmi and then the receiver after the NanoDSP. And that would be a good solution? But I have the Atmos channels in the roof and I wonder if the Atmos signal from the Apple TV and the Dune will pass through the NanoAVR through the receiver so I still get the Atmos sound. I know that the Dirac Live will not process the atmos channels but will the signal pass through to the receiver? So the system will have all the channels processed by the Dirac Live except for the Atmos channels?
Is it possible to tune the two subs with the NanoDSP like I can do with the MiniDsp 2x4HD?

best regards Fredrik

I'm not the best person to try to answer most of your questions but I will just mention that this product is not longer sold by miniDSP, so if you wanted one it would need to be a second hand purchase and you may want to look into the question of long-term support.

Hi
Thanks for your answer.
That was little sad to hear that it was an old product. But I found two dealers in Sweden that still sell the NanoAVR Dl. So maybe if I am fast I can still get a new one.
Bet the question is if it will work for my system.

Are you certain they have stock? This unit was discontinued around January 2020 I think.

I don't know if it is in stock. Their web site say it is in stock but it could be wrong.
If its not in stock and I can't get a used one.
Is there any other product that have been a good option for me?

Be careful !
NanoAVR (DL or not) isn't compatible with Dolby Digital / TrueHD (Atmos) or Dts : it's not passtrough.
And it haven't decoder inside.

It only accepts LPCM, so 7.1.0 maximum.

Some people use Minidsp for Atmos.
But it's a DDRC 88A (one or two) inserted between processor and power amplifiers.
It's the only method today for have Atmos with a Minidsp : in the analog signal.
