More than half year ago, I purchased Nanoavr DL, and till now I have time to set up my home theatre.

Below is my system:
HTPC --> HDFury AVRKey --> Nanoavr DL --> Receiver
--> TV
If I connect AVRKey to Receiver directly (not through Nanoavr DL), there is sound, and the Receiver shows MultiChannel PCM. If I connect AVRKey to Receiver through Nanoavr DL, then there is no sound, and the Receiver shows no signal, which means Nanoavr DL does not pass through the sound to the Receiver.

In addition, when I try to calibrate using DIRAC, there is also no sound when "test" is clicked. During that, source and Receiver are connected to Nanoavr DL and they are not asleep.

I did everything according to the manual, and updated the firmware and refreshed FPGA program as well. Nothing changes.

Did I get a defective unit? What can I do now?

Is your source set to LCPM? Can you try playing some stereo content?

I don't remember if the nanoAVR DL has meters or not.

Yes, my sorce is set to LPCM, if I connect my source to receiver directly, the receiver shows multichannel pcm. I just tried stereo content, still no sound if I connect the source through nanoAVR, but if I connect the source to the receiver directly, it works well.

nanoAVR has no meter.

I guess I'd just double-check the cables are connected the right way round and you have the right input selected.
Is it possible that the source is trying to send HDMI2?
Otherwise best to open a support ticket.

Actually I have over 15 years audio and video calibration experience, so I know what I'm doing.

I have tried everything, both HDMI inputs, changed several HDMI cables, it just does not work. But if I connect my source to receiver directly, there is no problem.

I have opened a support ticket, but so far no much help.

Thanks anyway!

It works now. Seems it has compatibility issue with certain HDMI cables, the ones I tried and failed are all certified High Speed HDMI cable, which work well on my receiver but don't work on nanoAVR, until I changed to an old Honeywell Series 5 HDMI cable, really weird.

Its been a while since I used my nanoAVR DL, but since I added a new amp, I started to recalibrate my media room with nanoAVR DL.

I do understand that he nanoAVR is a legacy product now, but I thought I would at least reach out and see if anyone is still using this great device with the Dirac software. Wish there was a newer replacement but there is not.

I had everything ready to go for measurements until I ran into an issue when I got to the Output & Levels tab. I tried to test the signal for all the Channels and NO output.

Next I checked the Sound settings on my MacBook Pro. I am using the Audio Midi Setup to make sure I'm selecting the 5.1 Chanel output. I am able to do that and get pink noise out of every channel. Output selected is Sony TV *02 DisplayPort.

I went back to the Dirac application and Output & Levels tab. Tried again to test the signal and nothing.

I found some older HDMI cables and tried them but no luck. Also tried several other HDMI cables including several generation of cables leading up to the most recent high speed for 4K 60 Hz 18 Gbps HDR cables; no luck.

Current setup
- 2017 MacBook Pro laptop running Big Sur Beta.
- NanoAVR DL(with latest released firmware) connected to computer via Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter
- Yamaha CX-A51000 (HDMI cable connected to the computer via Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter; Video displayed to facilitate audio signal passage)
- Umik 1 (Connected to computer via USB-C Multiport Adapter)

Umik is recognized;
I can play sound from computer from other apps (Spotify) thru the AV receiver and hear sound.

I can't get a test signal out from Dirac application to the Yamaha CX-A5100 A/V PreProcessor and ultimately hear and see test signal (in the app) to save my life.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
