I have a Nanoavr HD unit that hasn’t been used in about 3 years. I hooked up to the same laptop and receiver I used back then and now can’t get any audio or video out of the unit. The plugin says “connected and PCM”. I also hooked up through my desktop computer and the same thing happens. I’ve pretty much tried everything to get it to go including: 6 different hdmi cables, updated the drivers on both computers and even loaded older drivers to see if that helped, reloaded windows 10 on the laptop, messed with every sound setting there is and later updated the software and firmware to the latest version on the dsp plugin. What’s odd is if I hook up my Nvidia shield through the nanoavr everything works fine and if I run the hdmi from the computer directly to the tv or receiver it works fine, so it’s definitely getting a signal from the computer and has no issue outputting a signal with the shield. It must have something to do with the computers. I’ve read people have had problems after window 10 updates getting sound and/or video over hdmi and have tried every fix I could find but…..I’ve spent hours on this. Anybody have any thoughts?

Answering my own question.
Opened: Intel HD graphics control panel
Display
General settings
Scaling
Checked the box ‘maintain display scaling’

This setting affected both the video and audio output. Why? I have no idea.
