I just received a brand new nanoAVR HDA and plugged it in for a quick test (on HDMI1 input a sony BR/SACD player, analog outputs to an arcam AV9 multichannel analog inputs). I used :
- output1 for FL
- output2 for FR
- output4 for center* (with if i understand correctly is the out-of-the-box setting since output3 seems to default for subwoofer/LFE)
- output5 for SL
- output6 for SR
I thereby get a massive white noise on outputs, on all channels. Tried disconnecting HDMI1 input with no effect.
When further trying each canal individually, i found that when disconnecting output4, the white noise disappears and sound/music is OK on the four other outputs (1,2,5,6).
I also tried with another cable / another analog input on the arcam and got the same results.

Is my unit simply faulty or have I done something wrong ? Is there some kind of setup to perform to remove the issue ?

@jbeguec

Very odd indeed.. Make sure that you restore the unit to default to make sure it's all reset as it should.

After a firmware update and a factory reset, now It's alright i have no more issue and the sound quality of the unit is superb (with movies, SACD, DVD and BR Audio) :)
Also been playing a bit with REW software, very powerful tool indeed.
So it was some kind of "tempest bug" triggered by plugging in and out the RCA... very weird indeed.
You can close the topic as the problem seems resolved by the firmware upgrade.
