I bought a miniDSP 2x4 (non HD) for my 5.2 setup and it worked perfectly. In fact it worked so good that I wanted to EQ ALL my speakers. So I ordered a NanoAVR HD. The question is, can it EQ 2 subwoofers independently like the 2x4 can? If it can't, then can I incorporate the 2x4 into the setup, ie; let the NanoAVR HD sort out the 5.0 speakers and get the 2x4 to sort out the subs? This is important because both subs are different and are at different listening positions so time align for each is critical. I did read somewhere that the NanoAVR HD can reroute channels so I could use a spare rear channel for an extra LFE channel but with some problems. Anyone with a similar setup or any advise would be much appreciated.

@ Jaz,

As mentioned via tech support tix, The nanoAVR HDA is really to fit between your source and your AVR though and does have the limitation of the source being PCM support only (no Dolby Encoded stream supported).
Do you have a plan on how to deal with these limitations? That might be an issue.

Hoping this info helps.

It is for my HTPC so all audio from source is always LPCM so shouldn't be a problem there. I use PowerDVD 17 which can play blu-rays in LPCM or let the receiver do the Dolby decoding. That should be OK too. The only thing is multi sub with NanoAVR HD. I read that a program called Multi-Sub Optimizer can sort this issue out.

So what are my options with the NanoAVR with multiple subwoofers? I will receive myNanoAVR HD on Tuesday 28/08/2018. Should I use the Multi-Sub Optimizer program or does the standard plugin provide BM for multi-subs?

Hi, you should be able to just turn on routing of LFE to an unused surround channel. You may need to adjust trim levels, depending on what your AVR does with its sub output. Or to avoid that complication, route LFE to both unused surround channels instead of the sub channel.

Perhaps read through the manual while waiting for the nanoAVR to arrive? ;)

MSO is a more advanced setup procedure you could try after getting it working with the two subs.

Controlling two subs independently with different time alignments etc. They are both at different distances from the MLP. With the NanoAVR HD, can it be done?

The manual does not say...
