I recently set my system back up after a move. I reassembled the signal path as before: I have an HDMI switch with 3 sources going into an Oppo 103D which is used with a split output HDMI set up for a projector and a receiver. I loaded the latest firmware and DSP to the box, reset the to factory and prepared to start calibration. Initially, I had some sound output on only a Netflix stream through the Oppo from a streamer, with silent video on other sources. No sound. I reloaded the firmware according to the manual, tried the system bypassing the Nano and had sound and tried HDMI 2 on the nano for input. The master volume showed quite low using the tool so I connected the nano to my network and invoked the iphone app. I finally got sound from the test buttons for all but front right and left speakers?!? I can't think of why the main channel speaker would be silent. I have tried switching the presets (which should be empty anyway) and I am at a loss here. I don't recall having these issues in the past. I have a bluray with 7.1 sound loaded in the Oppo. Any suggestions welcome. For now, I am just going to run Audyssey for setting speak distances and return to troubleshooting later. All I think to try that I haven't yet is to force the Nano into 7.1 mode from the tool and see if there is any sound. After that I am out of ideas.

Ok, I tried to force 7.1 and the test tones produce no sound from R and L mains, but I can hear bass redirection from them when a soundtrack is playing. This appears to be a problem with the nano and not the receiver or Oppo.

I've tried to roll back the firmware to 1.29 and 1.23, I bypassed the nano again to verify that a 7.1 soundtrack will play normally and have reloaded 1.30 and refreshed the DSP. I am getting only center channel sound only with bass redirection to the RL mains in front. The surrounds side and rear appear to be normal. Since there is no menu in the nanoAVR DL for matrixing fronts to center, I cannot understand how this is happening. Level controls for individual channels could account for this, but in DLCT they are all at 0.0 db. This unit was operating normally in the last setup. Is it possible to break it by incorrectly loading firmware or resetting to factory defaults? What are the factory defaults? I am at a total loss here, but it does appear that the nano is refusing to pass R-L main content and all the receiver is getting is LFE redirection.

@scintilla

Not 100% sure what could be the issue here but it would be extremely easier for our team to see screenshots of what you're seeing along with confirming that you're using the latest Dirac live as well. Please start a tech support tix to communicate with our team (official support is at support.minidsp.com). Thanks
