I received my new nanoAVR DL, hook it up and calibrated my system. Everything went off without a hitch and the system sounded 1000% better. A few hours later, the nanoAVR DL stopped working. It won't pass on sound from my OPPO 203 to my Emotiva UMC-200, nor will it output test tones when using the calibration software. I've followed all of the trouble shooting suggestions in the manual with out any success. I've also swapped out cables and inputs on the nanoAVR DL, bluray player and my processor to narrow things down and have come to the conclusion that it is the nanoAVR DL. I've submitted a service ticket (minidsp has not gotten back to me yet), and thought that someone here may have some suggestions as to what is going wrong. Is there any way to reset this unit? The unit is connected as follows:

OPPO 203 > nanoAVR DL > Emotiva UMC 200 > AMPS

From what I've experienced so far with this unit is awesome and I'm out of ideas as to what to do (I'm fairly experienced with home theater set-ups). Any Ideas are appreciated.

Thanks

When you connect with the Utility program, what do the Master Volume and mute buttons look like?

It is working now. The ARC HDMI input on my TV was the culprit. I simply disconnected it and everything worked fine. This particular input on the TV has been screwing up other non- related/non connected components. Although it was not directly connected to my 4K player, it prevented it from bitstreaming audio and making it send it as LPCM only. Although this input was not active when I was using these components, I guess it is indirectly in the HDMI chain and was causing problems. I've attached a screen shot of the DL Utility window. Let me know it something doesn't look normal.

Thanks

The master volume button is rectangular with the words "Master Volume" with a number under it. The number can be selected, but when a number is entered the following messages appears "Please connect the board to set the master volume.". it doesn't change the volume. The volume in the rectangle is 0 and does not correspond to the current volume of the unit.

The mute button is square with a silhouette of speaker with an X to its right. It has the word "Mute" under it. This is a toggle switch that does not mute the unit when selected. When it is selected the graphics turn red and the word "Mute" changes to "Muted".

Please let me know if this is normal or not so that I can take appropriate actions to fix whatever problems there are.

Thanks

Thanks for the response. The DL Utility Mute and Master Volume doesn't work when connected to the unit via usb. However, the Mute and Master Volume on the iOS app does work. Is there a special way to connect the DL Utility to the unit other than usb from my PC?

Should work over USB. Make sure you quit the Dirac Live Calibration Tool first.

Thanks for the reply. The volume works (was initially inputting positive values). The mute function doesn't work. I did quit the calibration tool first. Everything works with the iOS app.
