I have a few nanoAVR DL calibration questions. The manual was not completely clear.

1. Must a source component (i.e. bluray player) be connected and on to perform installation and calibration?
2. Must the setting in the nano be 7.1 or 5.1? My pre-pro, Emotiva UMC-200, is a 7.1 processor. But, I'm only running a 5.1 set-up.
3. What is the max. length HDMI and USB cables (for unit and microphone) that can be used?

Thanks

1. "If you do not hear audio when pressing a Test button, ensure that an HDMI video source is connected, selected, and not asleep"
2. 7.1, because the Emotiva will presumably downmix the last two channels if you have source content in them.
