I would like way to take the data from the hdmi output of the nanoavr to multple outputs spidif or toslink. For instance channel 1&2 one output
3&4 on anaother and 5&6 and so on. This would all doing additional processing without a another atod conversion. A minidigi for video. Any thoughts or products.
Ben

Thanks
The Octava HDMXA71 with 4xS/PDIF audio outputs has

Or the arvus hdmi-2a
Only the Arvus appears to allow extraction of the the hdmi signal into four 2channel digital outputs.
At $2700 it seems a little pricey.
This still seems like a market for MiniDSP.
May have to build my own. It should be a simple case of taking the dac inputs and putting them into a spdif driver.

The technical tab suggests that there are “4x 75 Ohm Coaxial SPDIF outputs (BNC connector).” modded into the Octava.

However, if you are competent to create your own then that must be cheaper.

I suspect that the HDMI licence prevents manufacturers from “breaking out” the high data rate digital signals from HDMI. The Octava is modded and Oppo BD players also have a mod to achieve similar. But then again, the Arvus device is not a mod. Perhaps there simply is no market for such a device.

The Arvus is $1700 as per Mathew at Arvus.
Octava HDMXA71 with 4xS/PDIF audio output shipped from the USA is $975.
So more reasonable not sure building my own is worth is for a single unit. TIme will tell
