Sorry if this question has already been asked- I searched around and couldn't find a clear answer. Could a member of the devteam comment on this? I would really like to upgrade the firmware of my nanoAVR HDA to Dirac. Will the upgrade sold for $300 at the following link work for the HDA model?

I'm afraid that at this point of time, no firmware upgrade is possible for the HDA to turn it into what I guess you could call a "DLA"..
It requires a new DSP + firmware to make this happen. Maybe we can look into it in 2017... Need to evaluate with our team...

Any news on this yet? I noticed that the upgrade page now states that BOTH the HD and HDA can be upgraded to a DL. However, it does not mention DLA. But then still, it would need something similar to the DDRC-88BM plugin to be able to function as active crossover. I would love such a device to get the most out of my active 3-way front speakers in combination with two surround speakers (8ch total). The only solution that I see right now is to buy both the HDA and DL, and let the DL do its magic before the signal enters the HDA. But it doesn't make sense to buy two of these devices while it should be possible to fix this with software.

Unfortunately following few trials to make this work, the onboard DSP on the nanoAVR just doesn't have enough resources to handle both BM + Dirac live under one config I'm afraid.
