I recently bought nanoAVR DL to manage my less then ideal room that I rent.
It's fantastic! Exactly what I have expected.

But now I can not do any surround mixing in my receiver as signal is already "processed" by Dirac filters.
Is it possible to add another nanoAVR HD to do upmixing before processing sound with Dirac filters?

I could not find any non-proprietary filters to upmix stereo movies to surround.
I probably can go with something like left channel to left surround minus 5 dB.
Is there anything better?

Thanks for any ideas!

Hello Timothy

Glad to hear that you're having fun with the nanoAVR DL. :-)
Upmixing is possible (i.e. stereo to 5.1 inside the matrix mixer by gain as you're already suggesting) but it's not going to be the same as say Dolby prologic (phase involved at crosspoints). I'm afraid that miniDSP doesn't have a Dolby/DTS algorithm powered platform to do that upmix.. :-(
