By rerouting the signal in the Nano i use it as a digital crossover for my mains (2 way diy) and my center uses active crossover.
So if i have 2 Nanos, is it possible to use a spliter and use two Nanos, cause the i can use one as a crossover for the center to :)

It's possible, search this forum for "Gonzo" for a project by Jim the Olbie who used two nanoAVR HDs and two AVRs.

However, the issue is syncing volume control between the two units. One way of doing it would be to put a nanoAVR DL in front of the splitter and use its volume control :D

However I've thought of another way. Don't use a splitter, but connect the two nanoAVR HD(A)s in series. In the first nanoAVR, route left, center and right channels straight through without any processing. (Still use them as input to the LFE Mgt). Use the other 5 output channels for the sub, and you can do 4 x 1-way surrounds or 2 x 2-way surrounds.

In the second nanoAVR, you now have left, center, and right coming in. There are 8 output channels which gives you left and right 3-way + 2-way center, or left and right 2-way + 3-way center.

Set up the first nanoAVR to respond to remote control for volume. Not sure about the presets but I only ever use one preset anyway. It would probably work to program both nanos the same for that.

Note: I have not tried this. However I think it will work and have dragged my old AVR out so I can test it.

Note #2: miniDSP have warned me that connecting too many HDMI devices in series can cause issues.

Hm,
Thats one way to do it!

Today i only have the HD so on the pre outs on the AVR i use LR and RR to the horns.
Why i mentioned HDA is that you cant use HD in the way i want with one AVR.
And i just realised that Atmos is the only AVR:s with enough channals and the dosent have line in :(

Damn it!

Right, so thinking about it a bit more, in the scenario I just outlined the first one has to be a nanoAVR HDA. The second one can be either, but if it's a nanoAVR HD then you can only really get 7 channels out of it (because of the - probable - lowpass filter on the sub channel in the AVR).

My idea first was to split the HDMI signal going in to two HDA:as.
Then use the line in on the AVR thru the volume control and to Pre out.

But since there is no such thing as an AVR with 9 line in its a No Go.

Oh I see what you were thinking now! Got it. Well, the scheme I outlined should work, "just add" a nanoAVR HDA and amplification to existing nanoAVR HD + AVR. I aim to try it soon anyway.

I use both a pc and a bluray as source but if i only would use the pc i could live with a signal that wasnt Bit-Perfect and use the pc as a volume control. To be able to use Nano as a crossover does a Huge impact so thats also a way to go.
I have a usb Bluray but it rarely use it cause it takes forever for it to start so i use my other bluray instead.

*edit*
Or i could rip all my Blurays, gonna take forever to do......
