Hello

I have a NanoAVR HD upgraded to DL.

For configuration, I have this connection : BR player -> NanoAVR -> Scaler -> AVR.
A 5.1 LPCM signal pass perfectly and my AVR display PCM 5.1.

In DLCT, I choose 5.1 speaker system (like in NanoAVR DL Utility - same problem if I choose Channel Mode Auto).
In Output and Levels tab, I have 5 channels displayed.
My AVR display always 5.1 PCM.
When I click on Test button, I have a uninterrupted signal for Left an Right channel (an always 5.1 PCM on my AVR).
But for Center, Subwoofer and Surround, signal stop after one second and my AVR display said No Signal.
If I came back to Front, no problem, 5.1 PCM is displayed...

And its the same problem for measurements : the signal begin with Front (no problem) and Subwoofer/Center/Surround => No sound and No signal!!!
Signal come back for the last test on first channel...

Someone have this issue? With this problem, my Nano AVR is useless in home theater...

Hi, I don't what a "Scaler" is but I'd try removing that and see if things behave any better. Same if there are are any HDMI splitters or switches in the setup.

Your Bluray player doesn't happen to be a recent Cambridge unit by any chance?

Sorry, my bluray player is a Sony.

I tested with short circuit : player -> NanoAVR -> preamp (Audiolab 8000AP) -> TV directly connected.
And in my player, a movie in 7.1.

I have the same problems.

Finally is the same subject than here

And I see no solution insade because the jackox's trick doesn't work

It doesn't sound promising :(

The things I would check (too hard to do by diagnostics, so I'll just list them all) would be

* Video source on selected nanoAVR input is not going to sleep. (Seems unlikely given your description but I'm not there so you never know). I use my laptop to keep the HDMI signal awake.

* Channel mode in nanoAVR DL utility is set to 7.1

* Use the power-on sequence per the manual

I suppose I would also try it with the TV disconnected.

The reason I asked about the Cambridge is that someone posted here recently with very strange issues he was having with his nanoAVR setup. He didn't have the decency to actually come back and inform the forum about the resolution but I saw on another forum he posted that Cambridge admitted a fault with the Blurya player and replaced it.

In the end, once you've eliminated all other suspects (other than the nanoAVR) you may need to open a support ticket.

I already have open a support ticket.
But sometimes, the community had the problem and know the solution.

Its sad there are no return of the end of the problem on the other topic because it's exactly the same symptoms.

Thanks for your tricks but I had all tested with no success yesterday.

The last version of manual is quite complete on cautions to have good ressults.

But one is missing or I have a processor not compatible with the NanoAVR :(

@ Domin,

If you already have a tech support ticket opened, hopefully our team will figure out what's the issue here.
They would ask for logs or such for us to see more info on what's the issue here.

Hey there,

though this thread quite old I wonder if there was a solution on this as I just ran into the same problem with my Audiolab 8000AP and nanoAVR DL.

Many thanks in advance for your response & kind regrads,
Marcel

Doesn't work with the method from avforums and 2 pc?

I have a lot of exchange during several months with audiolab and minidsp about it.

Also there is the solution with a nanoavr HD BEFORE the nanoavr dl for mesureaments.

Well, I cannot tell. I have tried on the solution using a PC to produce "fake"-test signals, but got stuck in the case that there is no Dirac Live Correction Suite for PC in the needed v1.2.1 available anymore. I asked at DIRAC, they only provide v2.x as trial for download. I also asked in several forums if someone could support me with that program (I do own two licenses for DIRAC LIVE, so there should be no legal hassle), but no response so far.

In the end I'm by now sick of ths topic and decided to walk different tracks. I bought an EMOTIVA processor. This hopefully brings a solution, at least saves me from more "workarounds" like adding a miniDSP nanoAVR HD into the chain. Sad enough to be left alone by the companies I spend alot of money on their products in the past years...

Kind regards,
Marcel
