Ok, here we go again. Replaced a Win 7 machine with an Intel NUC running Windows 10 (1511 build). If I connect USB from the NUC to my nanoAVR (nAVR henceforth), I cannot switch HDMI inputs unless I am running the nAVR-BM program. If I try and switching nAVR inputs, the input LED indicates the change, but the screen is black with no audio, and I cannot switch back by any method. Pull the USB cable, and everything starts working again. Using an external, known good, HDMI switch makes no difference. If the NUC is connected to the nAVR by USB and the nAVR app is not running, the NAVR will crash consistently when attempting to switch inputs (even with the external HDMI switch). The Windows 7 machine worked properly in this regard. Not having the USB always connected is not a big deal, but it's just another reason I always have to have access to the back of the nAVR.
Running your monitoring app won't help since it relies on USB for its data. Any ideas on configuring Windows would be appreciated. I already tried disabling " selective suspend" in USB power options, but no go.
Thanks in advance.

Out of curiosity, I tried using the Ethernet connection on the nAVR for software control. Much more stable: no freezing so far. Up till now, I've been reluctant to use the network connection as if you close the app or restart the computer, you need to physically disconnect and reconnect the connector to re-establish control. I discovered that if you type the IP address for the nAVR into the address bar at the top right of the app, and then click "connect", the app connects! You can even store and load configuration files over Ethernet. It looks like you'll still need USB for firmware updates.
Perhaps having the app "remember" the last good IP address might be a useful mod in the next firmware. This would make reconnection a bit easier.

To whom it may concerns

Windows 10. Asus laptop. Windows firewall OFF

When I downloaded NanoAVR programmer and DIRAC Live calibration tool softwares when I received the unit, I was in USER session.
Problem:
Dirac does not see neither the system nor the nano unit. You can disconnect usb cable as many time you want and uninstall what you want as many time you want: it will do nothing.

10 hours of trial and errors later, my very beloved brother solved the problem.

EXPLANATION:

during all this time, in background, the 2 softwares worked in administrator session not in the user session.

IF YOU ARE NOT LOGGED AS ADMINISTRATOR WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARES AND WHEN YOU CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION INTO DIRAC SERVER THE FIRST TIME, Dirac will not work WILL NOT SEE THE UNIT..
Also, but I am not sure if it is important, between last Monday (when I first installed the kit) and this Saturday, a new version of adobe air was available and I updated it only this morning.

@ RenPa

Very interesting feedback indeed! Thanks a ton for sharing this and we're really sorry to hear that you've wasted these 10h...
We've mentioned before as a trick (please try to run as software admin) but never thought that it could trigger as you just mentioned..

Thanks again for sharing that insight. Hoping you're all set by now?

Also running Antivirus/Internet Security like COMODO will have similar issues and must be disabled while installing and running Dirac software...
