We are having a serious issue with the NANO AVR DL locking up between power cycling the Media room equipment... after we power cycle the NANO unit everything is fine...
Surely this unit was not meant to be left ON 24/7/365 and I certainly hope you don't expect us to have to power cycle this unit every time we want to use it ??? ..... Why is there not a Power Toggle ??? Can such a IR code be implemented in a Firmware update ??? My client is calling me everyday about the Nano unit being locked up .......

I will be experimenting with the order of equipment powering on to try and resolve this but frankly it's very annoying and a power toggle should have been in the design ....

Actually it can be left on 24/7. However I do turn mine off. I plugged mine into the switched outlet of the receiver. Whenever I turn on the receiver, it turns on the DSP and vice versa.

Does your client not have a switched outlet on any of their gear? What about a 12 volt amp trigger signal? A 12 volt relay connected to a 12 volt trigger signal could switch the power to the nanoAVR.

I think we will be ordering the Xantech AC1 and have the 12v trigger from the Marantz power up the NANO and the KINIVO 5 port HDMI switch

@ rts100x5

Similar to our previous comments (i.e. adding multiple forum posts and spreading the issues won't exactly help.. :-(, starting a tech support ticket would be the path.

Yes, it's perfectly fine to run 24/7 as most of our customer do. I think that it's most likely a simple requirement to understand what is different here. An HDMI handshake issues is most likely the cause here. You could do a test to toggle the source selection to see if that does the trick (i.e. HDMI handshake)

I have started a support ticket on this issue.

Once the unit crashes , it does not respond to any IR command.

Hi,

what media equipment does he use? I had the same problem with a DENON AVR X3000, a Sony VPL HW50 projector and an OpenELEC HTPC with nvidia graphicscard. Whenever I turned on the Projector the nanoAVR locked up. Changing the Xorg.conf on the openelec box solved my problem.

The issue was solved by using a Xantech AC1. The 12 volt trigger on the Emotiva amp turns on the AC1>NanoAVR and everything works fine in that order ...
the equipment list is a Marantz 5006, JVC projector,Emotiva XPA3, NanoAVR being fed by a Kinivo 5 port HDMI switch...
