Hello,

I use a NanoAVR HD to mix the 5.1 LPCM audio from my OPPO 103d to 2.0 LPCM and then feed a nanoDIGI and 2 full digital amps.
(between the NanoAVR and the NanoDIGI I use a HDMI to SPDIFF Converter)

I am interested in the Dirac Live treatment.

If I upgrade my NanoAVR HD to NanoAVR DL, will the features of the NanoAVR HD still active ?

Does the NanoAVR DL can make Channel routing ?
Does the NanoAVR DL adds the direct Live feature to the NanoAVR HD OR is it a complete different unit ?

thanks,

David

@ David,

In answer to your question, I'm afraid that it will be a complete different unit that will be 1 to 1 routing. There won't be any matrixing inside able to help you achieve that 5.1 to 2.0 setup I'm afraid. :-(

Getting a DDRC-22D in the path of the SPDIF would be your only way here..

Hello,

It may be an improvement to add this routing feature in the nanoAVR DL.
You may suggest it to the dirac team...

I can also add a nanoAVR DL just after my nanoAVR HD instead of a DDRC 22 D.
Are the 2 units (nanoAVR DL and DDRC 22D) using the same hardware ?

Thanks,

David

I'm not minDSP/devteam but FWIW I believe the nanoAVR DL and nanoAVR HD use the same hardware. AFAIK the difference in cost is due to Dirac licensing.

If you have both units, you can connect them in series. (I do.)

Sorry, I am deleting my response as I didn't read the question correctly. The nanoAVR DL and DDRC-22D do NOT use the same hardware.
