Sorry. I was reading that in order to calibrate the bluray player needs to be set to PCM. Does that mean that once you make corrections it needs to remain on PCM in order to use the nano or can you later set the bluray player back to bitstream so the receiver can display DD/DTS vs the PCM? If it's only PCM will that effect someone with an avr that decodes Atmos?

The audio into the nanoAVR always has to be PCM, the nanoAVR (either version) won't decode a bitstream.

I don't think Atmos is compatible with the nanoAVR. People who want to use Atmos get the DDRC-88A, have their receiver do the decoding and the DDRC-88A do room correction. I believe some people are using the DDRC-88A on a subset of channel, and some have starting two DDRC-88A units. There's a long owner's thread on avsforum if you'd like to take a look.

Thanks but I'm going to most likely sell it while it's new and unopened. I need the Atmos.

I think "not at all" would be the most likely answer... if you ran Audyssey first, then Dirac will do its thing and you will end up with the same result as not using Audyssey. If you ran Dirac first and then Audyssey, the Dirac calibration will then be messed up.

If you run Audyssey first and then Dirac on top of active Audyssey, you'll get poor results. It isn't the same as not using Audyssey.

Run Audyssey's calibration if necessary to get automatic levels and distance, but disable the Audyssey part before running Dirac. Then only using Dirac.
