When using the Nano AVR DL do you use Audyssey before or after or not at all?

I think "not at all" would be the most likely answer... if you ran Audyssey first, then Dirac will do its thing and you will end up with the same result as not using Audyssey. If you ran Dirac first and then Audyssey, the Dirac calibration will then be messed up.

HTH :)

Pretty much, the only hard thing (IMO) is getting your head around where to put the microphone for all nine measurements. But it's all explained in the manual, maybe have a read through it and see what you think?

Thank you. Now I already own the umik 1 and I have a file on the pc. The manual also asks to download the 90 degree file too. How do I find it or do it for the 90 degree one?

Hi again, you get the 90 degree file from the UMIK-1 page - www.minidsp.com/products/acoustic-measurement/umik-1

ok from what I read. If you installed the umik mic with serial info the 90 degree was installed too, yes?

You enter your serial number on the UMIK-1 page. You should get two files downloaded. If not, there will be links appear to download directly. I just did it for mine, this is what it looks like:

Ok thank you! Sorry I am asking too many questions. I haven't received the Nano yet but I am doing some homework to avoid some steps in case something comes up. I have been reading the online manual.

Basically it won't pass it even if the avr is 2.0, 2.2?

[Edit] Sorry my mistake. 4k should pass through, since it is part of the 1.4 specification. I've never tried it. However, you asked if HDMI 2.0 and 2.2 would work. (You did mean the HDMI spec and not the number of channels there - ?) My guess is not, since the nano is a 1.4 device. 2.x is supposed to be backwards compatible, but exactly what that means... well, for a definitive answer, devteam would have to supply that.

Cheers :)

I would assume that the nanoAVR won't pass through 4k, since 4k is a 2.0 feature and the nano is a 1.4 device. For a definitive answer, devteam would have to supply that. It does support HDCP.

Cheers :)

ok thanks. Also you won't be able to do bitstream only PCM. Why would they do that? Won't the quality degrade plus what happens to Atmos?
