I just got my nanoavr in. I hooked it up as described. Downloaded the bass mgt plugin and connected. So far so good. Set my bluray player to output pcm. But alas no sound. I unmuted the nanoavr, still no sound. I tried update nanoavr, reckoned the settings might have to be uploaded first, but the device is stuck. It's on the window saying do not disconnect. Anyone have a clue how to solve those two problems?

Thanks

Used equipment: panasonic dmp-bdt300 bluray player and a NAD t748 receiver.

*edit Ps4 set to pcm also no sound.
*edit Both bluray player and ps4 set to pcm work when directly connected to receiver. So receiver can receive the pcm signals and the sources send them out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

are you running the control app at the same time? You can only connect with either the control app or the plugin at the same time.

No, just use one at a time. I think it may be doa. Sometimes there is no video as well. Other times it takes nearly a minute for video to show. In the app i do see lpcm next to connected. But that is also hit or miss.
This sucks, was expensive enough for my budget. Now i'll probably have to pay to ship it back.

You're not being very clear on what's going on. Anyway, maybe the best thing to do is raise a ticket at minidsp.desk.com/

Thought I made it pretty clear, must be fact that it is not my native tongue. Basically I cannot get any sound from the nanoAVR. I have tried multiple sources. I have connected the output of the nanoAVR to every input on my receiver to check if my receiver is faulty. Did not make a difference. I also tried multiple HDMI cables. Even bought 3 new ones. No name brand, audioquest and a monster cable. I switched these between inputs and output on the nanoAVR. Still no sound from the nanoAVR. I have also tried the default software and the beta. I also upgraded the firmware and tried everything again with the new firmware. Still nothing.

non sound related errors are as following. Network doesn;t seem to work all of the time. Have to reset the device to get an IP. The android remote app does not work at all. Video isn't always passed through, image will just stay black. A reboot of the device is then needed.

I am at a loss. It might be that I am doing something wrong. But I followed instructions to the letter. I sent a ticket to support, but they won;t be back until monday. Knowing myself I will keep stressing out until it is working or sent back for repair :( Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

"No sound" isn't enough information to provide any help :) Using the USB connection:

1. Are you able to sync to the nanoAVR from the plugin.
2. Did you choose reset to defaults.
3. When you play from the bluray player, is there signal on the meters?

Ok, if syncing means connecting that works.
I chose to restore factory default many times. Is it normal btw that switching between configs prompts a restore to default or exit program message?
No idea if there is signal, the meters do not move. So I guess not. Although now and then it does say lpcm next to the connect button.

OK, well, I suggest following the trouble shooting guide in the manual and provide the results in your ticket. Cheers.

Yeah I did that, but no luck. This sucks as it will probably will cost me around 150-250 dollars to have it fixed. :(
