@ J19801110,

The Matrix mixer isn't available to the user I'm afraid (would need a plug-in GUI to make this happen). The above mention was just a general comment of a "potential future" feature. If we make it available to the user under a new plug-in, we can then provide more info. Sorry for confusion.

That's sad. I'm sure many users have 7.1 speakers and majority of blurays have 5.1 audio. Upmixing 5.1 to 7.1 will be great.
This is the only reason preventing myself from getting a nanoAVR DL.

Oh I just had a look. It's a simple channel routing that on,y includes "addition" but no "subtraction" of channels. It would allow copying surround channels to the back surrounds and I guess some simple up mixing of stereo signals. It cannot do steering like dolby pro logic tho. :) ah well. Yes please give us the option to turn it off, thx. :D

You mean we can split the single surround channel (eg: Surround left) to two (surround left + back surround left) ?
As 2 speakers are producing the same sound, will it create more problems (comb filtering)?
