I'm trying to understand more about the limitations of MCHStreamer as being the clock master only. It seems like this would eliminate the possibility of using two MCHStreamers connected to each other via ADAT optical. Or, indeed, using the MCHStreamer to receive ADAT optical from a third party device.

Is this software fix, a hardware fix, or an inherent limitation of the XMOS chip you're using (won't happen) ?

Or am I misunderstanding something?

If I'm not mistaken (possible) I have read somewhere that the non possibility to connect an external clock to the MCH streamer is due to missing firmware.

In case it is a firmware issue, question at hand is if there is new development happening or if users can contribute to extending the functionality?
